  • Day 1 - Hanoi Arrival

    Place Transport: Airplane 
    Meals: Dinner
    Arrive in Hanoi city and Minmax guides and driver will transfer you to hotels in Hanoi. The rest of the day is time for you to relax with leisure. Then Minmax Travel will organize a welcome dinner at restaurant with Vietnamese traditional dishes. Then stay overnight in Hanoi.

    Day 2 - Hanoi - Sapa

    After breakfast we will spend a whole day city tour of Vietnam’s capital. 

    Hanoi is a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The city tour includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda one of Asia’s most unique pieces of architecture, the Temple of Literature – the first university in Vietnam, the Quan Thanh Temple and the Tran Quoc Pagoda on the edge of West Lake.
    After lunch in town we will continue our tour to the Museum of Ethnology. Ending the afternoon with a visit to the Lake of the Restored Sword and a cyclo tour of the Old Quarter. In the evening we will take the night train to Lao Cai and stay overnight on train with soft sleeper in 4 beds A/C cabin.

    Day 3 - Lao Cai – Sapa

    After breakfast and we will head to Sapa. In the terraced hills and mountains of Sapa, you will enjoy the monotony of the expansive green landscape which is enlivened by the colors of its hill tribe population, not only the rainbow colors of the Flower H’mong but also the flashes of the shining silver jeweler from the necks and wrists of indigo-clad H’mong, the scarlet hues of the turbans worn by the Red Dao.
    Here you will find hands stained with color from fabric dyes and shades of blue, red and green intricately embroidered, stitched into jackets, waistcoats, pants, skirts, caps purses and leggings.
    Then, take a morning walking tour in Sapa to visit the busy market where Red Dao, Black H’mong and other ethnic minorities converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their embroidery, silverware and handicrafts and buy provisions conversely. In the afternoon, you will visit the Cat Cat hill tribe village and then stay overnight in Sapa.

    Day 4 - Sapa - Lao Cai – Hanoi

    Spending morning on a trek to the Red Dao village of Tha Phin after breakfast. In the afternoon, another trek through the green Sapa Valley to visit the Black Hmong minority of Lao Chai Village and Giay minority of Ta Van then back to Lao Cai to catch the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train with solf sleeper in 4 bed A/C Cabin.

    Day 5 - Hanoi - Halong Bay

    You will arrive in Hanoi early. After breakfast we will leave Hanoi by road for Halong Bay with a stop en route at But Thap Pagoda in Thuan Thanh Province which is known for its four-storey stone sputa and referred to as Vietnam’s first Buddhist centre. The pagoda was built in the 13th century and rebuilt in 1647 by the Buddhist monk Chuyet which is a complex of ten buildings over an area of 100 meters that houses ancient statues and artifacts.
    Then you will enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and Vietnamese village routine life. Arrive in Halong Bay and board the Huong Hai or Bai Tho in traditional sailing junk. Whilst cruising the exquisite waters, you will try some sample regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island you will see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you want to visit. Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Then spend overnight on junk boat.

    Day 6 - Halong Bay - Hanoi – Hue

    Having wholesome breakfast and a cup of coffee before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even General de Gaulle’s nose! After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch on board disembark at the dock at Halong City. Then we will transfer back to Hanoi to take a flight to Hue. You will spend this night in Hue.

    Day 7 - Hue City Tour

    Hue is the city that has many cultural heritages. Until now, there is no place like Hue which still remained a lot of originally historical vestiges as in this ancient Capital City. After breakfast, our tour starts by taking the beautiful boat trip on the romantic Perfume River and visit Hue's best-known religious site-Thien Mu Pagoda and the Mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. 
    In the afternoon visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945.
    Then return to the hotel, free at leisure and stay overnight in Hue.

    Day 8 - Hue- Hoi An

    Leave Hue for Hoi An after breakfast. All day you will visit Hoi An Ancient Town, every tour to Vietnam cannot skip this wonderful town which is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. You can feel the combination of indigenous and foreign influences through its buildings and street plan make it becomes unique heritage site. The scenic route will pass through the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds (Hai Van Pass).
    In the afternoon, take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ house, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful market. Then stay overnight in Hoi An.

    Day 9 - Hoi An - My Son- Hoi An

    Meals: Breakfast - Lunch
    After breakfast, you will spend a half of day on an interesting visit to My Son Holy land which is the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom, dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd to 16th century. Then contemplating its remarkable red brick towers and sanctuaries from mid of the 7th and 13th century. My Son tour is design for those who want to learn about Vietnamese History, Vietnamese Culture, Vietnamese Architecture.
    Drive back to Hoi An, in the afternoon you will be free for walking and shopping around this ancient city. Then stay overnight in Hoi An.

    Day 10 - Hoi An – Danang - Nha Trang

    Meals: Breakfast - Lunch
    After breakfast, you have free time until we transfer to Danang airport to take the flight to Nha Trang. Minmax guide and driver will pick up and transfer to check in hotel. Then free time for relax and spend night at hotel in Nha Trang.

    Day 11 - Nha Trang

    Meals: Breakfast - Lunch
    In the morning, you will take a board trip to Nha Trang bay after breakfast, visit some of the nearby islands. Opportunity to swim and snorkel in the clear warm waters. The rest of day is free for relax. Then stay overnight in Nha Trang.

    Day 12 - Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh

    After breakfast, Minmax guide and driver will transfer you to Nha Trang Airport for the short flight to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. Arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, greeted by our private Vietnamese tour guide and driver, then transfer to your hotel to check in. After that, you will discover Ho Chi Minh City - the most exciting city in Vietnam, a commercial area with a chequered history and a rich traditional cultures. Its pagodas, museums, public buildings, parks and boulevards make it one of the most delightful Vietnam Tours.
    You will visit the War Museum and the former Presidential Palace and walk to visit the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. (car is always available).
    After this historical visit, enjoy some wonderful ice cream at Fanny’s, a quaint little parlor with a French atmosphere before exploring the trendy boutiques on Ton That Thiep Street.
    Then you will have free time to relax and stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

    Day 13 - Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (Mekong Delta)

    After breakfast, we will leave Ho Chi Minh for Cai Be, deep in the Mekong Delta, and embark on a cruise on the Cai Be Princess junk boat. The tour begins with a visit of the colorful Cai Be floating market, followed by some local home factories that produce rice paste, rice popcorn and coconut candy. Proceed to evergreen islands among the Mekong River through a large network of meandering tributaries, crisscrossed with countless arroyos. Lunch will be served right at a fruit orchard before we cruise to Vinh Long to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta rural life. Then drive to Can Tho and transfer you to hotel on arrival, stay overnight in Can Tho.

    Day 14 - Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh

    Meals: Breakfast - Lunch
    Today we will cruise to the colorful Cai Rang floating market while having a buffet breakfast on board the traditional Mekong-style Mystic Sampan. Then, back to dry land in Can Tho for a two-hour bike tour around countryside. Then leave Can Tho for Ho Chi Minh City to stay overnight here.

    Day 15 - Ho Chi Minh - Siem Reap (Cambodia)

    Meals: Breakfast - Dinner
    After breakfast, Minmax guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Airport for a flight to Siem Reap (Cambodia). You will be greeted by our friendly guide in Cambodia and then transfer you to the hotel. Afternoon, we hold a tour to small circuit including Prasat Ravan, Banteay Dei, Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon, Chau Say, Tevoda, to the World Seventh Wonder of the Magical Temple city of Angkor Wat until view sunset at Pnom Bakheng. Then stay overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 16 - Siem Reap

    Meals: Breakfast - Lunch
    Early morning, view sunrise at Angkor Wat then we will transfer you to hotel for breakfast. The same morning tour visit to South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon, visit Grand Circuit including Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan, Baksei Chamkrong and South Gate of Angkor Thom. One more night in Siem Reap.

    Day 17 - Siem Reap - Phnom Penh

    Place Transport: Boat 
    Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
    After breakfast, transfer to boat pier for departure to Pnom Penh. In the afternoon, we will organize a city tour include visiting National Museum of Khmer Arts, Silver Pagoda on the same ground of Royal Palace, and renowned Wat Phnom. Then stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

    Day 18 - Phnom Penh - Departure

    Meals: Breakfast
    After breakfast, free at leisure until guide and private car transfer you to airport to see you off on your journey to come back home, and our thanks for travelling with us through long journey. End of tour itinerary.
