Today, we will travel a little bit further from Phnom Penh. Enjoy the landscape on our way to Kampong Thom. Wandering around in some local villages to encounter different lifestyles. Later, you will find yourself immersed in the idyllically peaceful life. Make short visit to Kuk Hak Nokor for pagodas and alike,plus a photo-taking chance over Spean Kompong Kdei the Dragon Bridge. Have lunch in a local restaurant.
    In the afternoon, we will visit the infamous Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Prisoners from Tuol Sleng followed this same route to their fate. Despite the horrors of the past, it is a peaceful place to go and a tranquil spot to reflect on the tragic events that engulfed Cambodia and its people.

    Day 5 - Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - Tonle Sap

    After breakfast, in the hotel, we will fly to Siem Reap. In the afternoon, we will take a boat trip along Tonle Sap Lake with the stops at some floating villages. We will be back to Siem Reap at dusk. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 6 - Siem Reap

    After breakfast, we will drive out of town to visit to the ancient capital of Angkor Thom dating back to 12th century. In Angkor Thom, we will visit the South Gate, the Bayon Temple, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Have lunch in a nearby restaurant.
    In the afternoon, we will visit Angkor Wat whcih is famous for its beauty and splendor to all the Cambodia tour makers. Later, we will visit Bakheng Temple and enjoy a romantic sun set view form Bakheng Hill. And then we will drive back to Siem Reap before dusk.
    Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 7 - Banteay Srei - Ta Prohm Temple - Prasat Kravan

    This morning, we will visit Banteay Srei, aka Queen City and Banteay Samre, putting a perfect ending to your Cambodia tours.Have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, our steps reach out to Ta Prohm- one of the area's most beautiful temples. Neak Pean is a fountain built in the middle of a pool. Ta Som, was built in late 12th century C.E., is the most distant temple on the grand circuit, small but classic. Preah Khan Temple, Built by the King Jayavarman VII. Visit the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls) and Ta Keo, constructed in late 10th early 11th century. Have dinner in a nearby restaurant and then we will go back to Siem Reap, just in time for an Apsara show. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 8 - Siem Reap

  • Day 1 - Huai Xai Ferry – Pak Beng - Lovely scenery along both sides of the Mekong

    Your guide will pick you up at Huai Xay by ferrying boat pier for transfer to another pier to board a huge traditional Mekong riverboat for the downstream cruise to Pak Beng, departure at 09.00 hrs. This portion of the Mekong is very remote which sometimes allows glimpses of wildlife in the extensive forests. There are occasional stops at local hill tribe villages to meet people and observe life on the riverside. Buffet lunch is served on board. Enjoy the lovely scenery along both sides of the Mekong cruising to today’s destination. After arrival in Pak Beng, check in at the lodge, and then enjoy a buffet dinner here.

    Day 2 - Pak Beng – Pak Ou Buddha Caves – Rice Wine Making Village - Luang Prabang

    Before or after breakfast at the lodge, you can make a quick walk to visit the Pak Beng morning market to check out the local wares. Then continue the river journey for the second leg downstream to Luang Prabang. En route, stop to visit the sacred Pak Ou Buddha Caves. These caves, overlooking the confluence of the Mekong & Ou Rivers from on high, have been home to many thousands of Buddha images that have been placed here since 16th century. King Setthathirat found the caves and declared them a holy spot. Ever since that time, local people have continuously brought Buddha images here to pay respect. Picnic lunch will be served at the caves after you will re-embark, stop at a village specializing in making rice wine! Have a taste, or perhaps just browse the small market the villagers have erected before continuing on to Luang Prabang which is the ancient royal capital and crown jewel of the Lane Xang Kingdom (pronounced ‘lan sang’) – the Land of a Million Elephants. Transfer to your hotel, and enjoy the rest of the day either exploring on your own or at leisure in the hotel. Dinner is on your own in local restaurant.

    Day 3 - Luang Prabang City Tour

    Please get up early (6:00am) and go watch or participate in the traditional Lao rite of Almsgiving to the monks. In the city, some 300+ monks file through silently collecting alms. This is an amazing sight and your guide will be on hand to demonstrate and explain this important ritual. Return to your hotel for breakfast.

    After breakfast, enjoy a half-day spin around Luang Prabang and you will understand why it deserves the World Heritage title. Visit Wat Visoun- the site of impressive Thad Makmo stupa. Wat Phou Si sits atop the mountain, along side the skeletons of Indochina war anti-aircraft guns! Then continue visiting Wat Mai. Built in 1796, the five-tiered roof of the wooden Sim (chapel) epitomizes the graceful Luang Prabang architectural style. Wat Xieng Thong further emphasizes and characterizes the uniqueness of Luang Prabang, its several roofs sweeping low to the ground. Then visit the National Museum, once a king's palace, where displayed inside is a lovely collection of personal artifacts of the royal family including photos, musical instruments, and many gifts received from the dignitaries of foreign countries. Also peruse the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center which is a private museum recently opened to explain about the livelihoods of Laos’ ethnic minorities. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.

    Return to the hotel to relax or explore on your own. Luang Prabang is a wonderful walking town, and you can find dinner on your own at any number of fine international restaurants.

    Day 4 - Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfall – Onward

    After breakfast, drive with your guide by car to the Kuang Si Waterfall. The falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool and turquoise pools. The water here has a clear blue-green tint due to the high mineral content. You can climb the stairs and look down from various high viewpoints on the way to the top. Bring a bathing suit if you’d like to swim. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your flight onward.

    Today will start with a departure to the ancient capital of Siam, Ayuttthaya. The city lies on three rivers and has many impressive relics of the history and pagodas.

    Day 5 - Phitsanulok – Chiang Rai

    Today, you will head on to Chiang Rai but first to the beautiful city of stamp, Wat mahattat for a morning of exploring before heading on to Chiang Rai to visit Sukhothai with its many ancient palaces, temples and Buddha statues. Stay in a luxury resort in Chiang Rai.

    Day 6 - Mountain Tribes- The Golden Triangle – The Mekong

    Meals: Breakfast - Lunch
    Begin your day by meeting the Akha and Yao hill tribes, followed by a boat trip on the mighty Mekong River to the notorious opium in the Golden Triangle where the countries Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet.

    Day 7 - Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai

    In the village Sankaem – paeng, see the finest silk and hand- painted umbrellas. Then go on to Chiang Mai, north of the bustling city with many attractions, shops and the famous night market comprising of hundreds of stalls.

    Day 8 - Chiang Mai: visit Doi Suthep Temphle

    A visit from the Doi Suthep temple will expose you to magnificent views over the valley, followed by a visit to the training camp for young elephants.

    Day 9 - Chiang Mai – Bangkok

    Today, you will be able to learn Thai cooking where with the chef, you will visit a local market to buy your ingredients before visiting an authentic Thai house to cook various unique Thai dishes. A great way to impress friends and family back at home! In the afternoon, you will go to the station in Chiang Mai for the return journey by night train to Bangkok. There is also the option (at an additional cost) to fly back to Bangkok, allowing you to have an extra night there.

    Day 10 - 12 - Bangkok – Gulf of Siam

    Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a hearty breakfast before heading on to the Gulf of Siam where you will stay in a lively hotel with all the comforts and a lovely pool. The coast here consists mainly of three adjacent resorts: Jomtien Beach, Naklua and Pattaya with it beautiful beaches, many shops, restaurants and night markets. If you require somewhere a lot quieter for the night, then at an additional cost, you can individually stay in a quiet seaside resort Hua Hin/ Cha-Am.

    Day 13 - Bangkok Depature

    You will be transported back to Bangkok where the day is free at your leisure until your onwards flight.
