Penang City Tour

Penang has perhaps the largest and well preserved colonial-era old town, with excellent examples of Chinese clan houses, colonial homes, public buildings and private mansions. Visit Chew Jetty, Little India and exciting Chinatown, and make a stop at the world famous Royal Selangor. Before the day is over stop at Wat Chayamankalaram to see the big reclining Buddha.

Next on the itinerary is Talaat Klong Suan, another 100-year old market selling a dazzling array of quaint items. We will bring you to Suan Khun Thor to meet a respected local healer who will introduce you to traditional Thai diagnosis methods (Note: doctor not available on Mondays). Finally, enjoy the scenic drive to Khao Yai.

    Day 2 - Khao Yai

    After breakfast, drive into the National Park. Hike along a short forest trail to Nong Phug She Tower, where you have a good chance of spotting elephants and other animals when they visit the nearby wildlife pond for water. Continue to Heow Suwat Waterfalls, which was used as a site location for filming the movie 'The Beach', and enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool water. Then drive through the scenic countryside to Grande Monte Vineyard for lunch, followed by a relaxed tour around its sweeping vineyard to sample locally-grown grapes and wine.

    Spend this morning at Erawan National Park, home to the spectacular 7-tiered Erawan Waterfall. You are recommended to don a pair of good walking shoes and bring along your swimming suit if you wish to swim in the fall's natural pools. Then drive to Phra That Cave and explore its Stalactites - and stalagmites - filled interior. Following lunch, take a short train ride along the infamous Death Railway through Kwai Noi gorge. We bring you to an elephant camp where you can experience an elephant ride through the lush jungle before sailing down Kwai Yai River on a bamboo raft. Overnight in Kanchanaburi.

    Day 6 - Kanchanaburi - Amphawa

    To make the most of time, we will have an afternoon trip visiting Phnom Penh's highlights including Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Raung Damrei Museum and National Museum of Fine Arts, ending the day in the Independence Monument. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

    Day 2 - Phnom Penh - Tonle Bati - Takeo - Phnom Da – Kampot

    Depart from Phnom Penh for Kampot. En route, stop at Tonle Bati and visit Ta Prohm temple (12-13 centuries) and Yeay Peau temple (12th century). Visit the Prasat Neang Khmao, the temple of the Black Virgin (10th century) and visit a silk weaving village before proceeding to Takeo. Lunch at local restaurant.
    Take a boat from Takeo to Phnom Da (please note that the speedboat does not have a cover or any shade - hat and sun tan cream essential).
    Visit Phnom Da temple (the climb up is easy as this particular Phnom ‘hill’ is not very high. The path up to the temple is steep, over some big rocks), a pre-Angkorian laterite tower (6th century) and Asram Maharoseil (6th century), an Indian-style sandstone temple constructed in a style unlike any other temple in Cambodia. Return to Takeo by boat and continue to Kampot and check-in hotel. 

    Day 3 - Kampot - Bokor National Park

    Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Bokor National Park - a pleasant 30 minutes forest walk will take you to the Popokvil Waterfalls – access is difficult in wet season and there may be no water in dry season – however, the walk is pleasant at any time! Visit the long abandoned hill station of Bokor Mountain: discover the ruins of the former Royal Residence, the church, the casino hotel and enjoy an amazing view of the southern coast. Picnic lunch provided at the site.
    Drive back to Kampot for a boat trip on the pristine Kamchay River. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in hotel.

    Day 4 - Kampot - Kep

Nam Ou River Cruise

The Nam Ou (Rice Bowl River) is one of the most important rivers of Laos. It runs 448 km from Phongsaly to Vientiane. Along with the Mekong, the Nam Ou is the only natural channel suitable for large-draft boat transportation. Near its confluence with the Mekong are the Pak Ou Caves, famous for their Buddha statues.     After breakfast, take a half day tour of Singapore City. An Orientation tour of our city begins with a drive through the “colonial Heart” for a view of the Padang, Cricket Club. Parliament House, Supreme Court and City Hall. Then enroute to Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of the oldest temple in Singapore, the coach will pass Chinatown before stopping at Mount Faber for a Panoramic view of the harbor and on to a local handicraft center. The tour then continues to the National Orchid Garden located within the beautiful Botanic gardens. Our final stop at Little India will entrance you with the scent of joss sticks, jasmine and spices.     Day 7 - Jurong Bird Park - Sentosa Island

  • Day 1 - Bangkok Arrival

    On arrival in Bangkok, our tour guide will welcome you at the airport and take you to your hotel by a limousine. You will have some time to relax and enjoy your elegant guest room at the world's leading Bangkok riverside hotel, the Oriental.

    In the evening, start your orientation in a city of angel with a dinner cruise on Manohra, a magnificent rice barge that has been converted into one of Bangkok's finest dining venues. Enjoy a sumptuous five-course dinner while cruising along the Chao Phraya River.

    Day 2 - Bangkok: City tour

    Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Wat Po in time to experience the monks early morning chanting ritual (chanting starts at 9am). One of the oldest temples in Bangkok, Wat Po is home of the famous 45 metre reclining Buddha as well as being the original school of traditional Thai massage. Continue to The Grand Palace, the most important and impressive royal palace in Thailand. Your guide will show you the palaces used for different occasions – the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and of course the mysterious Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. Appropriate dress is required (or can be rented on site).

    Afternoon, board a private long tail boat taking guests onto the peaceful Klong Bang Luang. Pass by shop houses, local temples and vendors on this waterway which was once a major trading route and lined with impressive homes of aristocrats. The guide will point out local landmarks and cultural idiosyncrasies of the area. After observing this lively area the boat stops at Baan Silapin, a 100 year old renovated house now home to an art gallery. Here stop for up to two hours to enjoy the gallery, take part in an art workshop or explore the local community, before experiencing a unique puppet show performed by puppeteers trained under the Joe Louis School of puppetry. Enroute back to the city stop to visit the Temple of Dawn – Wat Arun, arriving back early afternoon.

    Day 3 - Bangkok - Chiang Mai

    After breakfast, our guide will transfer you to Bangkok Airport for flight to the north of Thailand.

    Upon arrival, meet up with our guide at the Airport and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the beautiful ambience of your hotel and optional activities such as spa are available.

    On this Chiang Mai Night Discovery tour you will see exactly why Thailand's second city is a place that comes to life by night. Our evening tour commences at Wat Ket temple where we will join monks in their evening chanting of prayer, a magical, moving and incredibly atmospheric experience. From here it’s time to indulge in some sumptuous Thai cuisine when we move onto an old Teak House, Pillars 137. After dinner you will have the opportunity to light a paper lantern and release it into the jet black night’s sky and enjoy the superb visual spectacle this creates. Continue onto the bustling Waroros Night Market, a must have experience for all visitors to Chiang Mai. The market is the hub of local life and bursting with fresh flowers and local street food stalls, and the perfect way to cap of your evening. Your guide will explore the market with you and sample some local Thai sweets to finish off your wonderful evening of discovery in Chiang Mai.

    Day 4 - Chiang Mai

    Travel to a local farmhouse in Mae Rim, on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, where you will take a leisurely stroll around the grounds. Then board a long-tail boat and enjoy a 30 minute cruise on the rural Mae Ping River. Along the river banks you will see traditional wooden houses and luxury modern residences. Arrive at the boat landing and take a trishaw ride along Tapae road, past the city walls and along Rajdamnern Road to Wat Phra Singh, in the middle of the old city.

    In the late afternoon, explore ancient Chiang Mai, including its old city walls, gates, moat and markets. After visiting Wat Suan Dok, where the ashes of Chiang Mai’s royal family are interred, and the historic Jed Yot temple, you continue to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the temple on the mountain, and the most sacred in North Thailand. Your experienced guide will explain the story of the temple, the white elephant and lead you around its impressive chedi and show its beautiful murals. In the late afternoon, the tourist masses have already left the temple grounds and dusk will give a very special atmosphere. After your private blessing ceremony, witness the magical evening chanting of the monks. The tour ends with the spectacularly romantic evening view over Chiang Mai with its millions of glittering lights.

    Day 5 - Chiang Mai - Golden Triangle

    Breakfast and depart to the base in Chiang Mai. Take the private transfer flight by helicopter to Golden Triangle; the view over the mountains of Northern Thailand is spectacular.

    Upon arrival at Chiang Rai airport, local representative will assist to transfer to your Luxury Camp in Golden

    Afternoon tea, then head out to explore the camp or watch wildlife with a tented camp naturalist.

    In the evening enjoy ‘Sundowners’, in true camp tradition, all activities recess to savor the magnificent sunset of another day in the Golden Triangle. Wherever the adventure – elephant trekking, river excursion or at the Camp – the next 30 minutes are spent with a casual drink and relaxation while watching the sky turn golden. Beverages of choice are served, accompanied by local and western snack items.

    Dinner served at Nong Yao Restaurant, an open-air thatched-roof pavilion by the riverbank, with rustic hardwood floors, Nong Yao Restaurant offers Thai, Laotian, Burmese and western cuisine. In keeping with the Camp's atmosphere, guests have the option to dine together at a long family-style table, seated in suede chairs, or privately, at separate tables. A bar area, complete with a double-sided fireplace in the middle, is perfect for pre-dinner drinks.

    Day 6 - Golden Triangle

    Wake-up call and then meet with the professional mahouts who will provide training in how to care for and “drive” an elephant.

    In the afternoon, depart to explore the golden triangle area, local village and their famous temple.
